At HOOPOES, we think about tomorrow.
Our bottles are deliberately sealed without plastic shrink caps. Instead, we use the tried and tested apothecary knot made from sweetgrass yarn – strong, durable, and 100% natural.
Our bottle labels are made from natural paper, and we do not use plastic corks.
These small details demonstrate our love for nature and our responsibility towards the environment.

However, sustainability doesn't stop at the bottle.
For shipping, we forgo filling materials such as bubble wrap or styrofoam and instead use wood wool.
After enjoying our spirits, our bottles can be reused in everyday life – for example, as a stylish soap dispenser, an elegant vase for flowers, or a decorative highlight in the kitchen.

The Hoopoe – Our Symbol

Like the Hoopoe, which elegantly flies through airy forests and captivates every gaze with its striking, colorful appearance, HOOPOES spirits also attract attention – a true eye-catcher on every shelf, on every table.

Habitat for the Hoopoe

We support our namesake - the hoopoe!

There are currently between 800-950 hoopoe pairs in Germany. On our property in southern Brandenburg, from which we also ship our HOOPOES products and which borders an old orchard, we have set up nesting boxes for hoopoes. For several years, we have had regular visits from three breeding pairs.

We also support hoopoes in the Potsdam-Mittelmark area and have set up a nesting box in Kloster Lehnin.
